Last year, VW launched a race series exclusively for the Jetta TDI, which was named Green Car Journal’s Green Car of the Year. It isn’t so much the fact it’s the Jetta, or even VW, that makes this so cool….  it’s the fact VW is running diesels on the race track.

Volkswagen Using B5 Biodiesel For 2009 Jetta TDI Cup Season

In 2008, Volkswagen introduced its Clean Diesel Technology on the race track and announced it will begin using B5 biodiesel to power its race cars, transport vehicles, and equipment generators for the 2009 Jetta TDI Cup season.  Way to go VW!
